Good morning my seeds!
Today we go to nature! We are going to contemplate the trees, the mountains, white and full of snow! And the trees, covered, as if the snow put a white blanket on top of them to cover and protect them. In fact, it gives them oxygen and oxygenates the earth a lot. It is said that years of snow are years of abundance, with a lot of snow: abundance. Because indeed, snow is food for the earth.
It is fluffy and it lets it breathe and gives it the moisture it needs without hurting it, also giving it all the protein it needs. Snow and cold are necessary for trees here in Europe, thus eliminating many parasites and bugs that attack the bark, branches and trunk, and by eliminating these parasites, it will wait for spring, to be able to be reborn and bloom.
Today we are going to talk about two eagles. Here in the Pyrenees, on the highest peaks.
Once upon a time, there were two eagles that were flying, but one had large, powerful wings, eagles have great strength, an eagle can hunt even a sheep, a goat, it can weigh up to five kilos. It lifts it with its claws, from the ground, and carries it to its nest, to later have a feast. Rabbits and hares can weigh 2 kilos, they are a very easy prey for them, they have a lot of strength.
This one that has large wings and flew very high, above the highest mountains, was happy, it contemplated, not only the currents of air that it could navigate, but it contemplated everything. It could see under its legs and at the same time spy if there was anything to eat.
But while one was flying high, so high, the other was struggling a lot, because he had smaller wings and very few feathers, so he could barely fly above the trees, and he was very envious of the other eagle, very envious. One day the eagle that could only fly low and with great difficulty, saw a hunter in the woods, he was armed with his bow and arrows and said:
"Mister Hunter, I want you to kill that eagle." The hunter was surprised. "Yes, I would like you to kill her when you have her within range." The delighted hunter replied: “I would be delighted to have such a piece! But I will need some feathers to make my arrows lighter so that I can hit it." And the eagle, without thinking for a second, tore off a feather and gave it to him. Then the hunter shot the first arrow, but he made a mistake and did not hit the target, so he said: "I am very sorry, but I will need another, so that you can lend me another feather, to see if I can hit it"
So the low-flying eagle came closer to the hunter and got on top of a tree, very short, very short tree, (behind him, of course) and gave him another feather. Gave him another feather! But again, he failed, and he couldn't touch him, and so he said: "I don't know what's wrong with me, but I haven't been able to touch him, give me another one." And so one by one he gave him feathers until in the end he was left with so few feathers that, it couldn't fly anymore!
And that's when the cunning hunter gave up shooting the flying eagle, and killed the plucked one! It couldn't even hide high up in the tree.
My seeds, this story teaches us that always when we are envious or jealous, we desire what others have, and what happens? Well, what we wish for others ends up happening to us. It has always been like this! Since man has been a man, he has envied his neighbor, the acquaintance, the stranger, he has always preferred what others have rather than to look at what he has. He has always wanted the greatest, and let's not talk when they start to compare cars, machines, vehicles, they always want what others have.
But that does not make us bigger or more perfect, quite the opposite. The cause and effect comes to us and without realizing it, we fall into the trap, of giving more importance what others have. While we, even if we cannot fly over the Himalayas, or reach the Himalayas, even if we cannot have a palace or just a piece of land, let's take a good look at where we live, let's take a good look at our health, let's take a good look at the capacity of our neurons, to be able to build, manufacture, invent, create and do many things!
I shared the Vietnam War with you, I was in Vietnam, not in the war, no. But I was to visit that beautiful country that I loved, and Cambodia and Lao. In all those countries there are more anti-people mines than habitants. And they too, it is a bit lucky of the pandemic.
Although you think that I repeat the word pandemic, Covid 19, etc., etc. many times, it must be repeated. Don't leave home if you don't have to! Please! Do not go out on Sunday, invent something to be able to run in the morning or at a time when there are not many people, but then take the opportunity to learn, to read, to watch your favorite series, or to do as you have done: unthinkable jobs.
But be very careful: the mask, the distance and your hands. The mask, the distance and the hands are very important. Let us not contaminate those who through carelessness can kill them, that is why each step is life. Without wanting to, we can hug a person, it can be grandmother, grandfather, or our children! And we transmit to them, that passage from life to death.
So please let us be aware and adults and try, especially in Europe, to be very cautious, very cautious, until it goes away. I am optimistic, it is only prevention, in French it is said: "prévenir c'est guérir" - to prevent is to cure.
May you have a beautiful day! May the snow caress you and may those who are on the beach and in the sun and summer be those rays of sun that caress you and may you be very, very happy and serene!
With all my love, Your Jardinera
