My dear seeds,
We are going to share this story that can happen to us on any day and you will laugh.
There was a great astronomer, whose passion was the stars, the universe and the night sky, every night he began to study them. He couldn't live without them and every day he discovered something new.
The excitement was so great that many people came to him, to ask, to consult him, and they knew that he was the greatest in all the land. He couldn't spend a night without contemplating the stars, the nebula, the planets, the moon. He was the happiest in the world and everyone admired him.
If someone had a question, they always went and asked him and he answered them with all the kindness in the world and all his sympathy. One night he went out for a walk and as he always did, he looked at the stars.
He was walking through the streets, the big avenues, the small alleys. And in one of those narrow streets he didn't notice there was a hole, because they were doing construction, and he fell in. Thankfully it wasn't deep. But he was afraid, he said “oh! what if I can't get out of here?, well, I'll look at the stars”.
But the hours passed and no one came and he said no, it can't be. I've hurt myself, I have to get out of here.
And he started shouting, “Help, help! I've fallen, help.” He gave his name and he was lucky that someone passed by and said,
“Who is there?”
“It's me, the astronomer, I fell into the well”
and he said, “calm down, calm down, I'm going to get him out of there.”
He gave him his hand, put up a small ladder that belonged to the workers and went out. And he looked at him and smiled. Then he said,
“I was so scared! I thought I would never get out of that hole, it's incredible.”
And this leaves us with a lesson. Today's lesson is the following. We are so worried about our personal star, about ourselves, about our little problems, sometimes about emotions.
We always say, I have feelings, I have emotions, I have emotions, or I have a problem, I have a problem, we are so obsessed with our little problems, I have to go to the dentist, I have to go, my son hasn't called me, my son is sick, they told me that, well, the electricity has gone up, the water too, it's not raining, it's raining a lot, it's cold.
Always worrying about things so mundane, so mundane, so mundane that we don't realise, that we not only have to look at the sky, (which is important, it’s where we come from the Universe), but we also have to look at the earth and where we put our feet.
Many people believe that they have no feet, that is why they stumble, that is why they fall and that is why they forget that the earth always feeds us, always, always. Yesterday I was at the hairdresser, it was my turn and the hairdresser and a client were talking.
“Have you already made the tomato preserves?” and the lady answered,
“yes, they are already done,”
“How good it is when we make pizza at home and bring out a homemade tomato preserve!”
“Oh, and the jams?”
Now is the season of plums, it is the season of apples, peaches, the fruit that is here, pears:
“yes, yes, it's already done.”
“Ah, well it's my turn to do it.”
The hairdresser said,
“I have already made the tomatoes, but I am a little lazy about the jam because when I finish my eight hours of hairdressing I am tired, but then I say, it is so delicious and what a great flavour it has and how delicious my son tells me in the morning , what a good jam yours mom, so I make an effort and make it.”
These people will not fall because they have their feet on the ground, but they also have their heads in the Universe and this doesn’t hold you back. That is balance, finding happiness in the simplest, smallest and biggest things, because we are part of them.
So don't complain, don't lament, emotions are universal. We are 100% emotion, who doesn't have them. Problems are part of our life, we are a problem when we are born and when we leave we end that problem. This is our existence, our life, a blink of an eye.
I hope you like it and that you can share it with other people.
Analyse it and you will see that those problems will no longer be so important. Just like our astronomer will remember where he puts his feet.
With all my love,
La Jardinera
