My Dear Seeds,
In a park, there was a beautiful lake filled with ducks—so many ducks! It was a lovely scene. One duck, feeling hungry, decided, “I’m going fishing.”
So, it went to the middle of the lake, looked around, and said, “There are no fish. How can there be no fish? Where have they gone? Have they disappeared? Well, I’ll wait.”
The duck waited and waited but didn’t see a single fish. As night fell, the moon rose, full and bright, lighting up the lake.
Suddenly, the duck saw the moon’s reflection in the water and exclaimed, “Oh! There’s a big, fat fish! It’s so clear, so bright—that’s the one I’ll catch for dinner tonight.”
The duck hurried to the spot where the moon was reflected, dove into the water, and began searching.
Meanwhile, the other ducks, gathered nearby, laughed and said, “Look at that fool! It thinks the moon is a fish! What an idiot! Doesn’t it know that’s the moon’s reflection? How ridiculous!”
They mocked it, laughed at it, and teased it endlessly.
The duck lifted its head from the water and said, “How is this possible? You’re my friends. We’re always together, yet you’re laughing at me and criticizing me.”
The duck, feeling ashamed, went off to a quiet corner.
The next day, all the other ducks went fishing. They caught fish and ate to their hearts’ content. But our dear duck, overwhelmed by embarrassment and shyness, couldn’t bring itself to fish.
Despite seeing fish swimming by, it thought, “No, I won’t fish anymore. They’ll laugh at me again. I thought they were my friends, but they mocked me.”
One day passed, then another. The duck watched as the fish swam past, but it couldn’t eat. Its friends, oblivious, continued fishing, eating, and playing. They never noticed that their friend—the one they had laughed at—was slowly starving.
The duck let itself die of hunger, consumed by shame, self-doubt, and indecision. It couldn’t decide whether to fish, join its friends, or find a new path. It waited for someone to reach out, to open a door, to offer kindness, but no one did.
And so, filled with hesitation, it faded away.
My seeds, this story teaches us a powerful lesson.
When others laugh at you, criticize you, or even bully you, face it. Don’t hide. Speak up, confront it, and defend yourselves.
If you’re unsure what to do at work or face a challenge, tackle it head-on. If you’re dismissed, remember: when one door closes, ten others open.
But if you let shame, fear of criticism, or self-doubt take over, you’ll wither away like that poor duck. Too many people let social media comments, family criticism, or unkind words paralyze them.
No, reject what is no use to you reject what harms you, draw on the inner strength you possess to face the Truth, because Truth is the only path to triumph.
Fear will fade, and you will succeed.
Don’t be like that duck, who couldn’t decide whether to try again or give up—and let indecision lead to its demise.
My seeds, don’t let criticism, bullying, or judgment define you. You are Souls of Light, extraordinary beings carrying the Master of Tiberias within you, yet you often forget this.
Don’t forget it.
With all my love,
La Jardinera
