My Dear Seeds,
Today, we share a very beautiful story, one that everyone can find their own meaning in.
There was a primary school teacher who always did everything he could to ensure his students excelled and were ready to move on to higher levels of learning. One day, he asked them, "Today’s question is this: think carefully and tell me the modern wonders of this world, of this planet. Let’s see what they are for each of you."
The students began discussing, asking questions, and writing down their answers about the modern wonders of the world. Some students listed the Suez Canal, the Panama Canal, others mentioned the tallest tower in New York or Dubai—they kept searching and writing.
The teacher was very pleased because he could see how motivated his students were. Suddenly, he noticed a girl who wasn’t saying anything and wasn’t talking to anyone. He approached her and saw that she had written on her paper.
He asked, "What’s wrong? What’s the matter?"
She replied, "There’s no problem, Professor."
"Then what are the wonders of our planet?" he asked.
She lowered her gaze again, and the teacher said, "But you’ve written an entire page! Would you like to share it?"
She said, "Yes."
While each student had spoken about the wonders of our planet, she began to read aloud:
"Thank you for touch, because with touch, we can feel, caress, and experience so many things.
Thank you for taste, because through taste, we can enjoy a delicious dish, a good soup, a treat, some fine chocolate, or a delightful sweet.
Thank you for hearing, because with hearing, we can listen to the whisper of a breeze moving through the branches of trees, to the sweet song of love from a nightingale, and to the melodies of birds. Thank you!
Thank you for sight, because with sight, we can see and admire the sun, the blue sky, the vastness of the sea, the curls of a blonde child, the flowers, and a field full of colors.
And above all, thank you for love.
That’s why, Professor, these are not monuments. It took me time to express it, but what seems greatest to me are our senses."
My seeds, this message reminds us that money is an illusion—it doesn’t bring happiness. It can contribute, but it does not give us true happiness.
My seeds, the greatest thing we have are our five senses.
Thanks to them, we can sing, hear, taste, feel, and smell those scents that remind us of loved ones, a special memory, cherished people, and unique moments of celebration, laughter, and love.
I hope you always keep these monuments in your heart, for they are very important.
With all my love,
Your Jardinera
