My Dear Seeds,
We could start by smelling the fresh air, the flowers, that scent that, as a child, you would notice when you approached your mother, your grandmother, or your nona.
They had a special smell, a scent that stayed with us. I could also talk to you about beautiful words we’ve heard—words from a poem, words of sweetness, of love. I could also speak about what my eyes have seen. What have my eyes seen?
Such great beauty! Watching ants, bees, birds, and nature. We rush so much, we run so fast, that we forget to look around us, to smell the fresh air, to taste, to listen, and especially to touch.
It is so beautiful to touch a child’s face, to caress the round cheeks of a sweet, tender baby. It’s so wonderful to touch a flower, to touch the bread we eat every day. We should smell it, feel it, see its golden spikes, and remember that when it is golden, the farmer must harvest it and take it to the oven so that we can later touch it with our hands and nourish ourselves.
But today, I want to share something different, something relevant to the times.
A head of state was thinking, “I’ll declare war on the neighboring state. No, maybe on the one farther away, the strongest one—I’ll attack them and declare war.”
But beside him was his advisor. There were, of course, many ministers and secretaries, but the advisor wondered, “How can I convince him not to do it? That country he wants to attack is so powerful it would destroy us.”
The advisor left the assembly and decided to act. Every morning, at dawn, he would go to the fields, to the forest. At 4 or 5 in the morning, the dew falls—fine, fine water that seeps in without you realizing it, leaving you soaked. But it’s a blessing for the plants, the trees, and even the animals, who drink this dew.
Each morning, the advisor returned soaked. This caught the attention of the young president, who asked, “Where does he go? Why does he come back wet every morning? What is he doing?”
He confronted him, asking, “Where do you go? I want to know. Do you carry a weapon?”
“Yes, Mr. President,” the advisor replied, “I carry a pellet gun.”
“What are you doing, fool?”
“I’ll explain: Every morning, I go to the forest. In the middle of the forest, there’s a cicada perched on a tree, gathering dew, cleaning itself to prepare to sing as soon as the sun rises. But it doesn’t notice that above it is a praying mantis.”
A mantis—a predatory insect—is perched, ready to attack and kill the cicada.
The cicada is so focused on cleaning itself that it doesn’t see the danger. But the mantis, in turn, doesn’t notice the sparrow above it, ready to swoop down and eat it.
The sparrow is so intent on the mantis, the mantis on the cicada, and the cicada on its dew that none of them realize the danger threatening them all. Because behind the sparrow is me, with my gun, ready to strike.”
At that moment, the young president looked at his advisor, turned around, and said, “Call everyone—ministers, staff, the army, everyone.”
He then announced, “We will not declare war on the country I had planned. There will be no war. Instead, let’s focus on what we can improve.”
The advisor was the happiest man in the world because the young president had finally understood the lesson he was trying to teach.
My seeds, these are lessons for all of us. So often, we act without reflecting, without thinking. We are so preoccupied with our ambitions, desires, or what others have that we forget there’s always someone behind us who might do the same to us.
Let us analyze this message. We must always look over our shoulders, observe what’s around us, stay informed about the world, and watch the great nations and the leaders who govern them. With our sixth chakra, let us work hard for peace, to ensure they don’t act recklessly, because, as always, it is the children, the elderly, and the young who will suffer.
I hope you enjoy this and that every action or decision you take is well-thought-out. Always remember, someone is behind you, and danger lurks.
Always, always, always. But if you are prepared, nothing can harm you. Use your sixth Chakra, and it will guide you. Your faith will grow stronger each day.
With all my love,
Jardinera
